DESCRIPTION:Photo by Mark Bernards\n\n\n\nHelp restore rare prairie habitat to the Rice Lake Plains! \nHistorically\, the Rice Lake Plains were covered with tall grass prairies\n and oak savannah\, which were dominated by massive black and white oak\, \ngrasses like big bluestem and switchgrass thrived and a diverse range of\n wildflowers blossomed. Today\, the oak savannah and tall grass prairie \nof the Rice Lake Plains are badly fragmented and overgrown with \nnon-native species.
